There was a little sandwich shop near my house growing up that sold roast beef dip sandwiches. I was that nerdy kid that walked the mile there and used my allowance to buy myself one. I love Roast Beef dips.
This is a version born out of desperation. I couldn't find a sandwich that quite fit my craving so I made one up. Hope you love it as much as I do!
Let's Get Started!
Ingredients:
6 sub sandwich rolls
2 lbs. medium-rare deli roast beef (Target sells this. Healthy Ones is the brand)
12 sliced of provolone cheese
1 cube of softened butter
Garlic salt
4 c. Beef Broth
Directions:
Pour beef broth into a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer.
Open up sub rolls on a cookie sheet, and spread butter over the entire top. Sprinkle with garlic salt.
Broil until golden brown.
Add two slices of provolone to each sandwich and return to boil just until cheese melts (30-45 seconds)
Divide roast beef into 6 portions.
Put one portion of beef in the beef broth for 30 seconds and remove with tongs.
Place on one of the sandwich rolls
Repeat steps 6 and 7 with the remaining beef.
Serve with a 3/4 c. of beef broth to dip in.
