My family has been making these since I was a little kid. When my brother in law first started dating my sister my mom would make these and he would eat triple what any of the rest of us could (he was a football player). Super yummy. Super easy.
Let's Get Started!
Ingredients:
2 Flour Tortillas
Shredded Cheese (Monterey jack is best, but cheddar works too)
Salsa (we like Pace Picante brand, but any kind will work)
Butter or Margarine.
Heat frying pan on medium-high for 2 minutes (#7 or 8, if your stove does numbers). Add a little butter and let melt. Swirl the tortilla on top of the melted butter.
Turn stove down to medium (#6 on number stoves).
Add cheese (about 1/3 c.) to one half. Add desired salsa on cheese (we do about 2 spoonfuls). Use spatula and fold empty half of the tortilla on top on the cheese half. Quickly flip over. Cook until underside is golden brown.
Slide onto plate. Best to eat with a fork, gets messy! Enjoy.
