You've had a bacon burger, but have you had a burger with bacon IN it? Well, you will now! These patties became my husband and oldest daughter's favorites very quickly. Can you guess what special ingredient won them over? Oh bacon, how we love you.
Let's Get Started!
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef (80/20 fat)
1/4 c. italian breadcrumbs
1/4 tsp. diced garlic (or replace this AND salt below with 1/2 tsp. garlic salt)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt (leave out if using garlic salt substitute above)
1 egg
4 strips of bacon, uncooked - chopped (or subtitute with 1/4 c. real bacon bits)
Directions:
Mix together in bowl, and form into 4 patties.
Smash thin and wide (about the size of a tea saucer) ideally between wax paper, tinfoil or plastic wrap.
Can let chill in the fridge until time to cook, but best to bring to room temp before cooking.
Cook on griddle at 400 degrees, until brown on both sides and your preferred doneness.
