Call me crazy, but sometimes I just don't want the shell on my tacos. These taco boats are like the best of tacos and taco salad, all in one. Unless your favorite part of the taco is the shell, then you might want to move along. This recipe ain't for you.
Let's Get Started!
Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 taco bell seasoning packet
1 head of romaine lettuce, washed.
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup ranch dressing
2 Tbsp. salsa
Diced tomatoes, optional
Chopped cilantro, optional
Crunched up tortilla chips, optional
Cook meat according to the seasoning packet.
While that's cooking, prep lettuce leaves into boats by cutting on the hard end of the lettuce and any wilted parts at the top. Set aside
In a mug combine the ranch and salsa. Set aside.
Once meat is done, build the boats with the following:
scoop of meat
sprinkle of cheese
tomatoes
cilantro
drizzle of ranch/salsa dressing
tortilla chip crumble
I think you know what to do after that. ENJOY!
