Let's get started!
You'll need: water, yeast, sugar, milk, egg, salt, flour, butter, parmesan, garlic salt and dill weed.
Pour in large mixing bowl:
1/2 c. warm water (if you microwave cold tap water for 25-30 seconds it should be perfect)
Sprinkle on top of water:
1 Tbsp (or 1 packet) of yeast
Sprinkle on top of yeast (it may make the yeast sink, that's okay)
1 Tbsp. sugar
Let this mixture sit untouched for 5 minutes. Bubbles may form, that's fine! That means the yeast is doing its job.
Now add these and mix together until smooth and stretchy:
3/4 c. milk
1 Tbsp plus 2 tsp of sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
3 c. flour
Melt 1/2 c. butter and pour on a cookie sheet (with edges)
Roll dough into log and cut into 12-15 pieces .
Roll each piece into a snake about the thickness of a preschool crayon then fold in half and twist.
Roll in melted butter
Sprinkle with garlic salt, parmesan cheese and dill.
Bake at 350 for 15-20 mins until golden brown.
