Dark Chocolate Brownies



Let's Get Started!


Ingredients:


BIG 9×13 RECTANGLE PAN

1 c. (2 sticks) of salted butter, melted

2 1/2 c. sugar

4 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

1 1/3 c. flour

3/4 c. cocoa powder

1/2 tsp. baking POWDER (not soda)

1/2 tsp. salt

1 bag chocolate chips (optional)


-OR-


SMALLER 8×8 SQUARE PAN

1/2 c. (1 sticks) of salted butter, melted

1 1/4 c. sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

2/3 c. flour

1/3 c. + 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder

1/4 tsp. baking POWDER (not soda)

1/4 tsp. salt

1 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Preheat oven to 350 degrees


Spray with cooking spray whichever pan size recipe you picked (9×13 for BIG recipe, and 8×8 for SMALLER recipe)


Prepare Batter:

In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla and stir. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix with wooden spoon or spatula (not mixer) just until everything is mixed together. DON’T OVERMIX… you’ll loose the yummy crunchy topping if you do.

Add chocolate chips, if desired.


Pour into greased pan.


Bake 8×8 pan for 30 minutes

OR

Bake 9×13 pan for 35 minutes (or until knife comes out clean)
