Ingredients
Thick cut white bread or french bread (if you want DELUXE, use great harvest's Cinnamon Chip Bread)
Oil for frying
Batter
1 egg
1 ½ - 2 cup water
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1⁄2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
Preparation
Mix batter until not lumpy. You might want to use a stick blender
Preheat oil to about 350-400
Cut bread in half
Dip half slice of bread in batter and fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels
Serve with Buttermilk Syrup.
Tips
You may want to thin batter with additional water if it is too thick.
