Toffee is one of those things I never appreciated until I became an adult. I remember my Mom buying Almond Roca or Symphony bars and me asking for a piece and never finishing it. I thought the toffee part wasn't sweet enough. Oh, silly, silly ten-year-old me. That's exactly why the toffee is so amazing!
These brownies combine ooey-gooey brownies with that toasted sweet yumminess of toffee. It's just what adult me ordered.
Let's Get Started!

1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 tablespoons water

2 tsp. Mexican vanilla (can use normal vanilla if you don't have mexican)

1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 bag health milk chocolate baking bits (or 2 c. of your favorite toffee and chocolate candy, crushed up)

3. Remove pan from heat and add bag of chocolate chips (stir until melted)
